Unless you’re among those who’ve already had their Christmas tree up since late October, you’re yet to go through the nightmare of decorating it.
Although seeing your festive tree spread the cosy Christmas feeling brings joy, having to untangle all the lights and then spend hours attempting to wrap them around the thing is beyond frustrating.
Luckily, for all of those who are now looking at the Christmas lights’ box in desperation, a mum has revealed an easy hack to save you time.
Tamara Weatherbee, who claims she’s ”Just a mom tryna survive”, is mostly known for her parenting hacks.
But being a busy mum is not easy – and Tamara definitely can’t afford to waste precious time, especially on decorations.
”If you are still wrapping your lights all the way around and round your tree, ” she says, ”Then this video is for you.”
”This is a Christmas lights hack I learned last year” – it has changed her life and will change yours too.
Instead of having to constantly go around the tree all the time until you or your kids get dizzy, Tamara emphasises that it’s important to start at the bottom.
From then on, you only keep going back and forth until you’ve reached the top of tree.
”Then grab your next set of lights and do the next section starting at the top.
”So you can plug the lights together,” she explains.
Not only will this save loads of time but will also make it extra easy to remove them once you’re mentally prepared that Christmas is over.
Another bright idea was suggested by a TikToker who wrote: ”I’ve been packing my tree up with the lights on!”
Someone else added: ”Tree on a rotating base…just sayin!”
