ORLANDO, FL — In what is being called “a boon” for members of the design, construction and home improvement industry, three of the industry’s leading trade shows will run concurrently in Las Vegas in 2023 as the primary components of Design & Construction Week, show officials announced.
The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the International Builders’ Show (IBS) will take place Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Also being co-located for the first time at the annual three-day event will be the National Hardware Show (NHS), trade show officials said.
“We are absolutely thrilled that the National Hardware Show (NHS) will be in Las Vegas during the same time that Design & Construction Week takes place,” said Jerry Howard, CEO of the National Association of Home Builders, owner of IBS. “NHS creates synergy with the International Builders’ Show and the National Kitchen & Bath Association-owned Kitchen and Bath Show. Co-locating NHS with IBS and KBIS will allow attendees to explore additional products and opportunities to grow their businesses and maintain a competitive edge in the market.”
The co-location announcement was made at last month’s Design & Construction Week, the premier trade show and educational conference for the residential design and construction trade. More than 70,000 building and remodeling professionals attended the event, staged under health and safety protocols at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. In all, DCW featured nearly 1,200 exhibitors occupying approximately 725,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits.
“The attendance at this year’s show exceeded our expectations and reflects the enthusiasm of the home building industry to collaborate and discover the latest products and technology solutions for their customers,” said Geoff Cassidy, NAHB senior v.p. of exhibitions and meetings.
“We think having the National Hardware Show co-locate with us in Las Vegas next year is a great opportunity to expand Design & Construction Week,” added Bill Darcy, chief executive officer of the NKBA. “It gives Design & Construction Week attendees more products and services to experience during their three days at the show. It’s also a great way for all three associations to better serve their respective members as we look to the future.”
“Our customers benefit from more value and opportunity during their time in Las Vegas by aligning with two other industry leading events (and) complementary product offerings that will broaden buying and selling opportunities,” said Beth Casson, NHS v.p.
