On Friday Apple was granted 10 design patents in Hong Kong relating to Apple's iPadOS widgets on Home Screen layouts that their grid design can accommodate. One of the layouts noted in our cover graphic is the first layout design win for Apple presented below. Apple introduced the new Mac Studio desktop and Studio Display on Tuesday and on Friday three related 'Studio' trademarks were filed for in the U.S. and one in Hong Kong.
Design Patents: iPadOS 15 Layouts
Unlike "patent applications" that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.

As noted in #57 of the Granted Patent form above, " The features of the design (presented below) for which novelty is claimed are the pattern, ornament, shape and/or configuration of the article as shown in the representation. The broken lines in the representations form no part of the claimed design."
10 iPadOS Home Screen Layout Design Patents
All of the designs were filed under Locarno Classification #14 – 04 covering: "Screen Displays and Icons."

Three 'Studio' Related Trademark Filings
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published three 'Studio' related trademark filings from Apple on Friday.
The first of three 'Studio' related trademarks is for 'Mac Studio' that was filed under International Class 009 covering "Computers; computer hardware; computer peripherals; recorded computer operating system software; recorded utility software; downloadable electronic publications in the nature of instruction manuals in the field of computers, computer hardware, computer operating system software, computer batteries and other computer accessories and peripherals."
The Mac Studio trademark was also filed in Hong Kong on Friday under number 305901598 and under the same International Classification 009.
Apple Studio Display
The second 'Studio' related trademark presented in-part above covers 'Apple Studio Display' that was filed under International Class 009, simply covering "Computer monitors."
The third 'Studio' related trademark presented in-part below covers the simplified 'Studio Display' filed under the same international class covering computer monitors.
